Temple circuits, countryside rides and multi-day cycling journeys
Cambodia is excellent for cycling — flat or gently rolling terrain, quiet rural roads, temple approaches and scenic countryside. From short Siem Reap temple loops to multi-day tours across provinces, bike tourism suits independent travellers and guided groups alike.
The classic: cycle the Small Circuit or parts of the Grand Circuit early morning before traffic builds. Many hotels and shops rent city bikes and mountain bikes. Guided temple-by-bike tours are widely available.
One of Cambodia’s best cycling regions — flat rice fields, villages, bamboo train area and quiet backroads. Half-day and full-day guided rides are popular.
Pepper farms, salt fields, coastal roads and the route between Kampot and Kep make ideal day rides. Bikes are easy to rent in both towns.
Silk Island (Koh Dach) and rural Kandal offer peaceful cycling close to the capital. Koh Trong near Kratie is a favourite island bike loop.
Supported multi-day itineraries can link Siem Reap–Battambang–Phnom Penh or head south toward Kampot and the coast. Visitors can find options through local operators and hotels.
