Tour Guide Fees Cambodia

Tourist guide fee list by language, destination and group size

A professional licensed tourist guide adds depth to any visit — explaining history, culture and temple symbolism, and helping you use your time efficiently. The fees below are typical market ranges for private guides in Cambodia. They are guide-only prices; entrance tickets and transportation are normally charged separately.

Rates can vary by season, experience and demand. High season (November–February) and less common languages are often at the upper end of the range. Always confirm the final price when you book.

Important notes

  • Prefer licensed guides (Ministry of Tourism) especially at Angkor.
  • Guide fee does not include entrance tickets, vehicle, driver, meals or tips.
  • Full-day rates typically cover about 8 hours; overtime may be charged extra.
  • Tipping is optional but appreciated for good service (often US$5–15 per day).
  • Book non-English and specialist guides in advance, especially in peak season.
